But I feel like I'm not getting what I'm supposed to be getting out of it, like doing an assigned reading in English class where you just don't have the key to understand what's going on.
I don't find that a lot of things that frighten other people frighten me, which does not mean that I can't see how the moving parts work for those other people, or enjoy the things in my own fashion, which just happens not to involve an elevated heartbeat or a prickling spine.
