I have rather explosively parted ways with swrarepairs , as their Discord culture boils down to "do not say anything if you're not one of these few people in our happy little clique"—I literally said perhaps three things in my two months there, and every one got smacked down. The final straw was the mods deciding that "you may post treats to the collection" in the rules as written is not the same as "anyone may post treats to the collection" just in order to defend one of the Correct People for chiding me after I dared to state the second rather than the first.

(I was really quite tactful, but apparently stating that I've never felt so unwelcome in a fannish event is "not acting like an adult".)

Therefore, I have pulled about half my stories from the collection (three with no recipient and one where the recipient volunteered permission), and gone ahead and posted them today. There are a few more where the recipient isn't involved in the drama and I don't want to startle them with a sudden early gift, so I'm leaving those until reveals. But the ones I've posted, I figure I may as well crosspost here.

Yeah, it's only gotten more and more baffling from there. It's a shame, I was really excited to start off with and now it's all just sour. But the people whose opinions I actually care about in the fandom are enjoying the fics, so that's good at least.
